Streamlight MicroStream USB Rechargeable Mini Flashlight — Coyote
Product description
What’s included and power
The MicroStream ships with the flashlight and a USB charging cable. It uses an internal lithium-ion cell and has a charge-status indicator so you can see when it’s topping up. On the brighter setting it produces 250 lumens with a measured beam reach of about 68 meters and a runtime near 1.5 hours; the lower setting produces 50 lumens, about 31 meters of throw and around 3.5 hours of operation.
Construction and size
The housing is machined anodized aluminum for abrasion resistance and a solid feel in hand. The light measures under 4 inches in length and has a slim, pen-like profile for easy pocket carry. A removable, two-way pocket clip lets you carry it in a pocket or attach it to the brim of a hat for hands-free illumination.
Use and durability
Controls are straightforward with a tail switch offering momentary and full-on functions. The unit is rated IPX4 for splash resistance and has passed a 1 meter impact test, giving confidence for everyday knocks and spills. It’s designed for technicians, first responders, outdoor users or anyone who needs a compact, rechargeable task light.

Great for the staff room
Picked this up for the gym staff so they wouldn’t use phone torches. Clips to a pocket, simple to operate, and charges at the office. Bright enough for quick inspections and has held up to sweaty hands and occasional splashes from cleaning.

Solid choice for quick EDC uses
Compact and well-built. 250 lumens is ideal for everyday tasks and the rechargeable cell is convenient. Not intended as a long-duration emergency floodlight, and its small size means it can slip into gaps, but overall a dependable carry light.

Perfect daily carry torch
I first saw this on a pistol course and now wear it daily. It’s unobtrusive until I need a light. Rechargeable, bright, and the dimmer/clip make it versatile. I’ve bought extras for family members and still use mine every day — a great little light.

Tiny light, impressive output
Very handy EDC light — compact but puts out plenty of usable light for walking at night or doing tight work. The USB recharge option removes the need for spare batteries. Feels solid and the coyote finish looks rugged. Lightweight and pocket-friendly; I carry it daily and recommend it.

Best value EDC pocket light
Half the thickness of a pen but much brighter than expected. I use it daily at work and around the house. The reversible clip makes pocket or brim carry simple. I bought this as a replacement for a long-lived earlier unit — the original lasted about five years — and I’ll purchase another when needed.

Reliable backup for daily use
Original product, no surprises. I’ve relied on other lights from this brand for many years with good durability. Fast delivery and no issues; I recommend it.

Works as expected, packaging country noted
Performs exactly like described and is smaller than photos suggest — in a good way. High mode runs for about 45 minutes and low lasts well over an hour. It recharges reliably, but the box indicated assembly origin as China rather than domestic manufacture.

Had to return due to defect
Unfortunately my unit wouldn’t stay lit more than a few seconds despite a full charge and multiple attempts. I returned it immediately. Construction and size were good, and the clip looked useful, but I couldn’t properly test it due to the defect.

Durable, bright, and economical
This penlight has survived drops into engine bays and exposure to brief spills; the O-ring protecting the charge port works well. It’s noticeably brighter and smaller than older stylus models I’ve used and saves money by eliminating disposable cells. The double-bend clip holds securely and lets you clip it to a hat bill for hands-free use.

Excellent tactical penlight, minor cost concern
Tactical penlight with momentary and full-click modes — one click for low, two for high. Slim and ideal for EDC. I didn’t give full marks only because the cost seems high compared with U.S. retail, but functionally it’s a must-have for everyday use.

Small but ferocious
Short: Buy it. Long: I chose the coyote tan model for its high-output first function and clip design. The 250-lumen burst can light up a room and the tail switch gives a momentary option for quick flashes. It’s lightweight, easy to stow, and a reliable little addition to my EDC kit.
