3-Ton Come-Along Winch Puller — 10ft Cable Ratchet Hoist
Product description
10 ft galvanized wound-steel cable: The puller comes equipped with a 10-foot wound-steel cable finished in galvanized plating. The cable is hardened all-steel construction to resist corrosion and abrasion from outdoor exposure.
3-ton (6,600 lb) lifting/pulling capacity: Designed for substantial loads, the device is rated to handle up to 3 tons (6,600 pounds) vertically. A longer, reinforced handle provides greater leverage for demanding pulls.
Durable ratchet mechanism: Built with a rugged steel ratchet wheel, matching pawl and heavy fasteners for strength and longevity. The mechanism is intended to deliver reliable incremental movement when lifting or stretching loads.
Safety features and body construction: Includes two heavy-duty hooks fitted with self-closing safety latches to help prevent accidental disengagement. The main housing and components are solid steel for extended service life under heavy use.
Simple operation: To use, loosen the wire rope on the tensioning assembly, secure the cable to the anchor or cross arm, then operate the specialized handle/wrench to take up slack. Practical for construction, landscaping, farm work and many outdoor projects.
Pros
- 3-ton (6,600 lb) rated capacity
- 10 ft galvanized wound-steel cable resists corrosion
- Robust steel ratchet and safety-hook system
Cons
- Relatively heavy to carry
- Release mechanism can be stiff or awkward
- Occasional reported material failures
VerdictA robust manual cable puller built for heavy pulling and lifting jobs. The 10 ft galvanized wound-steel cable and 3-ton rating give serious capability, while a beefed-up ratchet, pawl and larger handle provide leverage and durability. Good for moving buildings, straightening posts and other demanding chores, though a few users report issues with the release or rare material failures. Overall a pow

Strong pull but release is awkward
Great torque and pulling power, but the release mechanism is not smooth or easy to operate.

Did the job
Used it to straighten a fence post — worked excellently. It's heavier than expected but very solid. I'd buy it again.

Deformed ratchet teeth under load
Several ratchet teeth bent while I was removing a 2.25" birch stump in wet conditions. I advanced one tooth per squeeze and didn’t use an extension. This felt like a metallurgy failure and unsafe for heavy pulls; an older tractor handled the job fine.

Good value; check the cable length
Sturdy unit and good value. Remember the cable is looped, so the usable reach is half the stated length. Comes in 5', 7' and 10' versions—choose the one you need.
