DJI Lavalier Microphone — Low‑Profile Clip-On Lavalier
Product description
This lavalier package includes a low-profile omnidirectional microphone capsule, a rotating metal clip, a foam windscreen, and a short right-angle 3.5mm TRS lead for connection to transmitters and recorders. The mic capsule and clip are made from lightweight metal and durable ABS plastic to balance robustness with concealability.
The clip pivots so you can mount the mic on lapels, collars or helmet mounts and orient the capsule toward the mouth. A dedicated cable-routing channel on the clip keeps the wire tucked in and helps prevent the connector from being pulled free during movement. The cable is intentionally compact for on-camera use and action setups where excess slack is undesirable.
Designed primarily for use with DJI Mic 2 and DJI Mic systems, the lavalier’s standard TRS plug also allows it to be used with other wireless transmitters, camera inputs, and portable recorders. Use it for interviews, vlogging, livestreaming, wedding coverage, helmet or GoPro media mod rigs, and any situation that benefits from a discreet, reliable lapel microphone.
Pros
- Low-profile, rotatable clip for flexible placement
- Secure cable routing reduces accidental disconnection
- Standard 3.5mm TRS plug works with many devices
Cons
- Short cable can be limiting with taller subjects
- Not as rugged as some high-end pro lavs
- Placement can muffle audio if pressed against skin
VerdictA compact, professional-looking lavalier that keeps recordings clean and setups tidy. The swivel clip lets you position the capsule for optimal pickup and the cable routing reduces accidental unplugging and wind noise. Works natively with DJI Mic 2 and DJI Mic while the standard TRS connector makes it useful with many other recorders. Ideal for run-and-gun shoots, wedding videography, and action r

Thoughtful rotating design
I like that the clip lets me place the mic on either lapel with the same ease. Windshield attachment feels secure and stays put during events. Small enough for weddings and formal shoots.

Works well on helmets
I mounted it on a helmet using a media mount and it performed reliably. I looped the extra cable around the mount and the connection stayed secure during activity.

Eases neck strain and protects the mic
This solved my issue of bulky transmitters tugging on clothing. I clip the transmitter to pants and route the wire inside the shirt, which makes the neck area feel lighter and keeps the mic safe when removing bags or jackets.

Fantastic clip and dependable sound
The rotating clip is the best I’ve found — very useful for angling the capsule. The windscreen stays on and the sound is consistently good, though placement affects tone. A worthwhile purchase despite the cost.

Dependable clarity and durable connector
The discreet clip and right-angle connector make this a no-fuss option for both studio and field work. Voices come through cleanly and wind is less intrusive thanks to the foam cover. Quick to set up and trust-worthy on shoots.

Solid performance from DJI hardware
I’ve used many DJI audio products and this lav is consistent with their usual build and sound quality. It works well with Mic 2 and Mini systems and should play nicely with other wireless setups that accept a TRS mic. Crisp, dependable audio and a tactile, well-made connector made me buy a spare set.

Clear audio for compact setups
Very solid mic for action cameras. Captures voice and some background ambience clearly. The cord is short, which I prefer for camera-mounted use, and overall value and reliability have been great so far.

Makes recordings look and sound professional
I paired this lav with my DJI wireless kit and it instantly tidied up the on-camera look — no bulky transmitter visible. Sound quality matched my expectations from DJI: clear and reliable. Note the lead is fairly short on taller people, so you may need to tuck the transmitter or clip it lower. The 3.5mm TRS plug is handy for using the mic with other recorders as well.

Good value and compatible with Mic 2
Solid everyday lav for interviews and quick reels. It won’t match the highest-end broadcast mics, but for mobile work it’s excellent. Take care the capsule isn’t pressed flat against skin, or placement can dull the sound.

Ideal choice for helmet-mounted audio
If you need a mic for a helmet or GoPro Media Mod setup, this is a great option. The TRS connection fits directly and the small profile prevents interference with other mounts.

A lavalier that elevates recordings
The DJI lavalier is compact and captures remarkably clean speech. Background noise is controlled well and the design makes it simple to carry and use on location. A convenient pick for creators wanting better audio without fuss.
