Fiskars SureCut 9" Portable Paper Trimmer — Compact Card & Photo Cutter
Product description
Compact cutting rail and base
This trimmer provides a 9-inch maximum cut length and sits on a 5-inch-wide cutting surface, sized for trimming 11-inch sheets down to cards or cropping photos. The base features a permanent ruler and a printed grid to help line up measurements and borders accurately.
Cutting performance and capacity
Equipped with a high-performance blade and a taut wire guide, the unit slices cleanly through standard office paper and light-to-medium cardstock. The blade is designed to cut up to ten sheets of typical copy paper at once, speeding repetitive trimming tasks while keeping edges neat.
Stability and portability
The TripleTrack system locks the cutting arm to the rail so the carriage doesn't wobble, producing straight, repeatable cuts on paper, vinyl, and other craft media. The frame is lightweight yet sturdy, with built-in three-ring binder-friendly holes so you can carry the trimmer in a binder or store it compactly. An elevated, ergonomic blade carriage offers a comfortable grip for precise control.
Pros
- Compact and easy to transport
- Accurate wire cut-line and stable TripleTrack rail
- Gridded mat and ruler for precise alignment
Cons
- Not suited for very thick stacks or heavy specialty paper
- Some plastic parts can feel light under heavy use
- Short cutting length limits large-format projects
VerdictA dependable, travel-friendly paper trimmer that gives crisp, straight cuts for cards, photos, and mid-weight cardstock. The TripleTrack rail and wire cut-line deliver consistent alignment, and the compact footprint with binder-hole mounting makes it easy to stash in a tote or binder. Best for single sheets or small stacks — not intended for heavy or thick multi-page jobs.

Good size for cardmaking
Handy width — no need to extend an arm for typical card sizes. Fits my workflow much better than my older, bulkier trimmer.

Easy to use, very straight cuts
I bought a replacement because my old unit’s blade dulled. This cutter is fast and precise for glossy cardstock and photos. Not for very thick stacks, but excellent for everyday paper and mid-weight card stock. Lightweight and travel-ready; you can tighten the wire if it loosens.

Accurate cuts but loose component
I like the visible cut line and the neat edges, but one plastic piece near the blade kept coming off. I haven’t had time to investigate why, but it’s an annoyance.

Outperforms pricier models
Surprisingly excellent cut quality compared to larger, more expensive trimmers I’ve owned. Sharp, consistent slices and a reliable wire guide — glad I tried it.

Consistently clean cuts
Produces neat, straight edges every time. Solid performer for daily crafting.

High-quality feel and performance
My second wire-style cutter from this brand. This one is easier to store and feels sturdier — thicker-feeling wire, rubber feet to prevent slipping, and a bed surface that holds paper in place for smooth cuts through 140 lb cardstock.

Great for craft projects
Lovely little cutter — very sharp and perfect for cardstock and other craft materials. Makes neat, accurate cuts.

Perfect for small watercolor pieces
Small and effective. I use it to trim watercolor sheets into tiny canvases for mini paintings. Thick paper means I only do a couple of sheets at once, but the cuts are clean and precise — much better than scissors. Exactly what I needed.

Helpful wire guide, minor design flaw
The guide wire makes alignment simple, but the cutter carriage can pop out too easily. Otherwise it works well.

Handy size for everyday crafting
Very easy to operate and compact enough to store in a drawer. Great for trimming photos, paper craft bits, and small projects. Packs flat and takes up almost no space.

Compact upgrade from a larger cutter
Replaced a trimmer I’d used for decades. This updated version is easier to store and just as reliable for small jobs. Not designed for large batch cutting, but great for quick tasks.

Muy buen producto buenos acabados 3/5
Buen material, pero se suelta
La calidad se siente bien, plástico resistente, pero el cortador se desprende con facilidad y se vuelve molesto al usarlo.
