Yahtzee On the Rocks — Adult Dice Party Game (21+, 2–6 Players)
Product description
Yahtzee On the Rocks reimagines the classic dice game for adult gatherings. The set centers on challenge-based play: each turn you draw a coaster card that specifies a dice task — solo stunts, head-to-head matchups, or group dares — then roll the dice to try to complete it. Complete the challenge and you keep the card; some cards let you take cards from other players. A short game runs five rounds, and whoever collects the most coaster cards wins.
The components include a rocks glass–style shaker cup used to mix and roll the dice, six dice designed to look like chunks of ice, and 38 coaster-style challenge cards with a mix of solo, versus, and group prompts. Pieces are mostly plastic, with the coaster cards printed on coated cardstock for repeated use. The aesthetic is sleek and cocktail-inspired, intended to sit neatly on a coffee table or home bar.
This edition is intended for players 21 and older and supports 2 to 6 players. Typical sessions last roughly 20 minutes, making it easy to play several rounds in one evening. Rules are straightforward: draw a coaster on your turn, attempt the dice challenge shown, collect cards on success, and optionally follow the game’s suggested sip rule for failed challenges. The portable box and simple setup also make it a suitable travel or pregame item for adult gatherings.
Pros
- Fast, social gameplay tailored for adults
- Attractive, durable components and shaker cup
- Short rounds — easy to replay multiple times
Cons
- Limited long-term variety in challenges
- Designed strictly for 21+ play
- Rulebook could be more detailed
VerdictThis edition keeps the familiar Yahtzee rolling mechanics but layers on fast, silly adult challenges that make gatherings livelier. Components are sturdy and stylish, setup is minimal, and games wrap up in about 20 minutes. Best for casual adult groups; a few rules could be clearer but overall it’s an easy, fun party addition.
