FINIS Agility Floating Swim Paddles — Strapless Technique Paddles (Small)
Product description
What’s included: a pair of FINIS Agility floating swim paddles designed to be worn without straps.
Materials and construction: molded from a lightweight, buoyant polymer to keep the paddle afloat and comfortable in the hand. The single-piece construction removes adjustable bands and tubes, so there’s nothing to break or rethread.
Sizes: available in multiple sizes — including X-Small, Small, and Large — so swimmers can choose a fit that matches their hand dimensions and training goals.
How it’s used: the paddle is slipped over the hand and worn while swimming to amplify the feel for the water and encourage consistent pressure through the catch and pull. Because the design is strapless, the paddle will shift or come off when the hand path is incorrect, providing instant feedback. It’s suitable for practicing butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle and is often incorporated into technique and pulling sets.
Pros
- Immediate tactile feedback for stroke correction
- Simple one-piece, strapless build with no adjustable bands
- Lightweight and buoyant for comfortable use
Cons
- Will come off if stroke technique is poor
- Edges can show stress over long-term heavy use
- Fit may require choosing the exact size for each swimmer
VerdictThese strapless Agility swim paddles are an effective training aid for swimmers who want clearer tactile feedback and improved technique. Lightweight and buoyant, they encourage a proper high-elbow catch by releasing when the hand path is incorrect, making them especially useful for refining stroke mechanics and building pulling strength. Best used after basic form is in place, they suit recreatio

Great for masters pull sets
Excellent tool for pull-focused sets in Masters sessions.

Sizing takes some trial, no straps is a trade-off
I wear a women’s glove size 7 and X-Small works once you adjust them. My long fingers hang over the end a bit, but the next size slips off. The lack of straps is both the drawback and the benefit — nothing to break and they guide your stroke well.

Perfect starter paddles for beginners
I used them right away and they helped my catch and pull. I mostly feel the feedback on my palm now and hope to get more forearm engagement with practice. The small fits me well — felt wide on land but stayed put and was comfy in the water. Would recommend.

Fantastic for breaststroke-focused swimmers
Lightweight and ergonomic, they add resistance without pain. A great find for someone who mainly swims breaststroke.

Big improvement over old-style paddles
Haven’t used paddles in ages — these outclass the flat types with rubber bands. Comfortable and they boost the pull. I chose Large at 6'2" and they’re ideal. A fun and useful addition to training.

Exactly what I needed
Very effective — an excellent swim aid!

Comfortable and simple to use
These are much better than paddles with silicone tubing. After heavy use they may develop a stress crack near the thumb; I’ve replaced a few over several years. Still the most comfortable and easiest paddles I’ve worn.

Durable, no-fuss design for kids too
These paddles correct form without parts to tinker with. My two club-swimming kids use them regularly — no straps to snap or tubes to untie. One-piece design is easy to put on and travel with.

Solid performance at the beach and pool
Works well, offers good hand purchase in the water and trains arm positioning. Tested during summer — I recommend them.

Very effective if your form is solid
I’ve used these for years and they really improved my efficiency while swimming long distances. Remember: no straps means no forgiveness. If you don’t pull with a high elbow they’ll pop off, and using them with a straight-arm pull can strain you. Practice closed-fist drills and a high-elbow catch before relying on them.

Helps my child feel the catch
Arrived early and my kid loves them. Used for freestyle and breaststroke so far — they mentioned the paddle slips if the catch isn’t solid, which helps focus practice.
