Mini 7-Piece Micro Hex Nut Driver Set for RC (2–5 mm)
Product description
Application and compatibility:
This seven-piece micro hex nut driver set is intended for RC hobbyists and small-scale model repair. It works for RC cars, trucks, boats, helicopters, quadcopters and other small machines, and is broadly compatible with most 1:18 and 1:24 scale models.
Contents and sizes:
The compact drivers measure about 4.26 inches (108 mm) overall and include seven hex drivers: 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 3.0 mm, 3.5 mm, 4.0 mm, 4.5 mm and 5.0 mm. Each handle is stamped with its size for quick selection.
Replaceable tips:
Each shaft can be removed and reinstalled using the supplied 2.0 mm hex wrench, so tips are replaceable or removable for storage and transport. This makes maintenance and part replacement straightforward.
Materials and coating:
Driver tips are machined from high-speed steel and finished with a titanium (Ti) coating to improve wear resistance and lifespan. Handles are lightweight aluminum alloy, combining strength with portability.
Handle design and use:
Handles are roughly 2.05 inches (52 mm) long and feature a non-slip, ergonomic profile for a comfortable grip and better control during delicate adjustments. The compact length is designed for tight spaces and convenient carry during RC field repairs.
Pros
- Full 2.0–5.0 mm metric range
- Ti-coated HSS tips for wear resistance
- Replaceable shafts with included 2.0 mm hex key
Cons

Best for light-to-moderate hobby use on 1:18 and 1:24 scale RC vehicles and other smal

Works but sockets can be tight
Bought them for scale semi trucks and 2–3 mm bolts. Some sockets fit too snugly — you have to force them on and they may only engage partway down the bolt head.

Tip stripped quickly
The 2.5 mm driver rounded out after light use. The metal feels weaker than expected.

Better than pliers for small nuts
Feels sturdy since it's all metal. Handles are labeled and the removable shafts are odd but useful. Much easier than using pliers in tight spots.

Useful set with a handy tip
Good all-around set for RC maintenance. I rarely use every size, but it’s nice to have them. I color-code the handles with highlighters so I can grab the right size without turning them.

Solid, well-marked drivers
Seven metric sizes common to RC work. Knurled handles are marked for easy ID, and the finish looks durable — good value for hobby wrenching.
