Beekeeping Starter Kit — Smoker, Pellets, Veil, Gloves & Brush
Product description
Complete 5-in-1 kit: one bee hive smoker, a pack of 108 compressed smoking pellets, one beekeeping veil with attached gloves, and a wooden bee brush.
Smoker construction: the smoker body is crafted from 201 stainless steel and is fitted with an outer insulating board to reduce the risk of burns when handling. A small metal hook on the smoker’s side lets you suspend or store the tool between uses.
Smoking fuel: the pellets are compressed from natural herbal materials with no added fillers. They release a mild, pleasant aroma and are intended to calm bees during inspections. Each pellet burns cleanly and individual burn time can reach roughly 20 minutes under normal conditions.
Protective gear: the veil and gloves are made using high-density insect netting for visibility and basic sting protection. The gloves attach to the veil for convenience during inspections, and the set is aimed at casual or first-time keepers rather than heavy-duty commercial use.
Accessories and use: the wooden bee brush is included for gentle bee removal and frame cleaning. In practice you light a pellet or two in the smoker, produce a small puff of smoke to settle the colony, use the brush for delicate tasks, and rely on the veil and gloves for defense. The kit is intended as a starter package to get new beekeepers set up for regular hive checks.
Pros
- Includes essential starter tools
- Stainless-steel smoker with insulating shield
- Large supply of natural smoker pellets
Cons
- Veil fabric is thin
- Gloves feel lightweight
- No detailed instruction manual
VerdictA practical entry-level beekeeping bundle that supplies the essentials for routine hive inspections. The stainless smoker and herbal pellets do the job of calming bees, while the veil and gloves offer basic protection. Good for hobbyists starting out, though the protective wear is lightweight and some users will want more detailed usage guidance.

Unpleasant odor
After burning for a while it developed a burned chemical smell.

Works but takes practice
As a beginner I found handling the smoker while opening hives awkward. One pellet gave light smoke; two or three worked better. The small metal clip is easy to misplace.

Decent for the price
Overall quality is acceptable. The veil is a bit thin and the gloves are flimsy, but the rest of the kit performs as expected.
