Max Flow RV Water Pressure Regulator — High-Flow RV Pressure Control
Product description
What’s included: one Max Flow RV regulator unit with standard garden-hose style inlet and outlet using lead-free brass connections.
Construction and materials: The regulator uses commercial-grade components and lead-free brass fittings on the hose ends. The main housing is a durable molded body (with metal inlet/outlet hardware) designed for RV service and frequent hookups. The unit is produced in the United States.
Performance and specs: Rated Max Inlet: 125 PSI. Rated Max Flow Rate: up to 18 gallons per minute. The device is engineered to hold a steady, safe outlet pressure while passing a high volume of water, avoiding the severe flow reduction seen with many conventional regulators.
Installation and use: Recommended to install at the water source (hose bib) so the regulator protects the RV plumbing immediately. No manual adjustments or ongoing monitoring are required — attach it to the supply and the regulator maintains the set outlet pressure automatically. A short strain-relief hose at the inlet (sold separately) is suggested to reduce torque on the regulator fitting. The unit can be mounted in any orientation.
Pros
- High flow capacity preserves shower and appliance performance
- Lead-free brass hose fittings for potable water connections
- Automatic, no-adjustment pressure control at hookup
Cons
- Main housing is molded material — long-term sun exposure concerns
- A few users reported seal issues or damage from heat
- Strain-relief hose not included and recommended for inlet
VerdictA solid choice for RV owners who need strong, consistent water delivery without babysitting a gauge. It preserves flow better than many regulators while keeping outlet pressure at a safe level. Built with lead-free brass connections and commercial-grade construction, it’s made for routine RV use though some users note concerns about the plastic body and rare leaks. Install at the hose bib and cons

Big improvement for our RV
This regulator noticeably increased usable flow in our rig. Major help since we run a tankless water heater — showers are much better now.

Solved flow mystery, holds 47 PSI
Bought this thinking a regulator was choking our flow; turned out to be a water heater check valve. I compared this against two other models and saw the same flow. It stabilizes at 47 PSI with a 55 PSI pump — not magic, but consistent.

Feels like a premium upgrade
Noticeably better build than the cheapest options. Keeps water pressure up while preventing overpressure. Feels sturdy and I expect it will last.

Much better flow for full-timers
Delivers far more water than other regulators I’ve tried. As a full-timer, this made evening showers tolerable again.

No better than cheaper brass units
I didn’t notice a meaningful improvement over standard adjustable brass regulators, which are commonly available for less money.

Works well; avoid bleach on seals
Performs as intended. One tip: strong bleach can degrade the rubber seals, so use disinfectants sparingly when cleaning plumbing.

Had to fix a seal myself
My first unit worked until heat tape melted a small hole. The replacement leaked at the housing seam until I reseated the rubber seal in the plunger. After that it’s leak-free and functions as expected. Bought a spare just in case.

Big difference for everyday use
Made locally and built well. Other regulators left me with either pressure or flow but not both. This actually lets you have usable pressure and decent flow at the same time. Worth it for improved showers and general convenience.

Good performance, plastic body concerns
Replaced a failed brass regulator with this unit. Water volume and pressure are very good. Body is plastic with metal fittings — made in the USA is a plus, but time will tell about UV and longevity. Warranty info wasn’t obvious.
