HydraPak SkyFlask Speed — 350ml Handheld Running Water Bottle
Product description
What’s included: one HydraPak SkyFlask Speed handheld soft flask (350 ml) with integrated bite valve, 42 mm SpeedFill cap and adjustable hand strap.
Design and fit: The SkyFlask Speed has an ambidextrous layout so you can use it in either hand. A padded thumb loop and a strap that cinches down provide a secure, grip-free carry. The soft, flexible flask body conforms to the hand and collapses as you drink, reducing movement of the liquid and taking up minimal space when empty.
Cap and refills: The flask uses a 42 mm SpeedFill cap that’s designed for fast, reliable refills at aid stations or faucets. The bite valve offers easy sipping without tilting or fumbling, and the cap is made to resist leaks when closed.
Use cases: Built for running, trail outings, races, walks and hot-weather workouts, the SkyFlask Speed replaces bulky containers for those who prefer a compact, low-profile hydration solution. When not in use it packs away flat inside a pack or pocket.
Pros

VerdictThe SkyFlask Speed is a minimalist handheld hydration option for runners and active walkers who want quick sips without a bulky vest or bottle. Its soft, collapsible body reduces slosh, the adjustable strap and padded thumb loop let you carry it in either hand without a tight grip, and the 42 mm SpeedFill cap plus bite valve make refilling and sipping straightforward. It’s ideal for training runs,

Excellent for training runs
Love this for my half-marathon training — the size is spot on, it hasn’t leaked, and it’s comfortable to carry during long runs.

Easy to fill
Used this in the Mt. Fuji climb race. The wide mouth and shape made adding water and ice simple and convenient.

Fantastic running flask
Super lightweight and comfortable, the strap keeps it secure without gripping hard. It shrinks as you drink to cut slosh, the cap is spill-resistant, and quick sips are easy while moving. High quality and now a go-to for runs and hikes.

Best bottle for running
Perfect size and a very comfortable hand strap. I tested it during my last marathon and was very satisfied.

Persistent plastic taste
Nice concept, but I couldn’t get rid of a strong plastic flavor despite multiple cleanings. It stayed as noticeable as when new.

We bought a second one — love it!
So happy with it we grabbed another. We always carry one now — lightweight, handy and reliable. Great addition to our gear.

Practical and reliable
Took a bit to get used to the hand straps but now it’s very comfortable. The lid seals well and cleaning is straightforward. I bring it on medium-long warm-weather runs and it meets my needs.

Good design but cleaning issue
It’s hard to clean thoroughly. After a couple months I found mold in the mouthpiece.

Perfect companion for runs and hikes
I started using the SkyFlask Speed on runs and hikes and it’s become essential. It’s featherlight and molds to my hand, and the strap keeps it stable without bulk. The collapsing design really cuts down on slosh and it tucks away small when empty. The bite valve gives a smooth sip on the move and refilling is fast.

Great idea but needs better execution
The concept of a soft, handheld flask is strong and solves runner needs, but the build quality could improve. The thumb handle is awkward to grip and the cap’s latch is stiff, making it hard to open while running. I stopped using it mid-marathon for those reasons. Hope they refine the details.

Solid choice, with a small caveat
The thumb loop lets you relax your grip and the collapsible body keeps weight down. Easy to fill and clean—just rinse well initially since I noticed a faint vinyl taste the first couple uses. For very hot days I’d consider the larger 500 ml version.

Made for runners, not general carry
This works well for people who want a lightweight running flask. The 350 ml size and slim shape fit small day packs nicely, but it doesn’t lock into a neat rolled shape when empty like some other soft flasks. The hand strap is meant for fit while running rather than keeping it tightly rolled. Pros: very light, reliable bite valve that doesn’t leak even when squeezed.
