iHealth AIR Rechargeable Bluetooth Fingertip Pulse Oximeter
Product description
Overview
The iHealth AIR is a fingertip pulse oximeter that rapidly displays blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), pulse rate and a perfusion index (PI) on a large LED panel. It includes a plethysmograph waveform for signal assessment and Bluetooth wireless transmission to the free iHealth MyVitals app for multi-user logging and trend charts.
What’s in the box
The package contains the iHealth AIR fingertip oximeter and a Micro-USB charging cable. A soft rubber cover protects the charging port. No disposable batteries are required because the unit has an internal rechargeable cell.
Construction and dimensions
The unit is made from durable ABS plastic with a soft silicone finger cradle and a flexible rubber port protector. It is fingertip-sized and compact — designed to fit most adult fingers comfortably and slip into a pocket or bag for on-the-go checks (compact, pocketable form factor).
Battery and charging
A built-in rechargeable battery powers the device. Using the included Micro-USB cable, a full charge is reached in about three hours and the manufacturer rates usage at roughly 300 readings per full charge under typical spot-check conditions. Charging is straightforward via any USB power source.
How to use
Insert a clean finger (fingernail down, pad resting on the sensor), remain still and allow the waveform to stabilize before recording. Data can be read directly from the LED display or viewed and stored in the iHealth MyVitals app, which plots hourly, daily and longer-term trends for easy review. The device is intended for spot checks around exercise or daily wellness monitoring.
Advanced features
The mobile app shows trends over time and displays the real-time plethysmograph and perfusion index to help judge signal quality. Wireless syncing makes it simple to maintain historical records for multiple users and to export or share readings if desired.
Intended use
This oximeter is designed for sports, fitness and personal wellness monitoring. It is not intended to serve as a medical diagnostic instrument and should not replace professional medical devices or clinical advice.
Pros
- Rechargeable battery and included Micro-USB cable
- Bluetooth sync and trend tracking via app
- Plethysmograph and perfusion index for signal insight
Cons
- Some users report occasional inconsistent readings
- Battery runtime limited compared with replaceable-battery models
- Charging port cover feels delicate
VerdictA convenient, pocketable fingertip oximeter offering Bluetooth syncing, real-time plethysmograph visualization and a built-in rechargeable battery. It’s well suited for routine spot checks and fitness use, with strong app integration for tracking trends. Some users report intermittent accuracy and modest battery runtime, so it’s best used for personal monitoring rather than clinical diagnosis.

Phone app installed easily
Performs as described. The companion app was simple to install on my phone and the LED numbers are easy to read. Good device for the price.

Works smoothly with same-brand blood pressure cuff
Setup was straightforward and pairing with my vendor’s blood pressure monitor was seamless. The connection to the app is reliable and battery life has been good in my experience.

Easy to operate and reassuring post-surgery
Simple to use. I initially bought it to monitor bradycardia and it couldn’t always capture the lowest rates I saw, but after my pacemaker implant it’s been useful to confirm my heart is beating normally and gives me peace of mind.

Quick reads; charge duration could improve
As a healthcare worker I appreciate the clean display and slim profile. The app was easy to set up and Bluetooth connects fast. The bright green LED is noticeable in the dark. Main drawback is battery life — it runs around three hours before needing a recharge.

Shown inaccurate compared to hospital oximeter
This oximeter repeatedly reported oxygen levels in the 80s and low 90s while the hospital device showed higher values. At rest it read several points lower than the clinic monitor. I don’t trust its SpO2 accuracy and the battery life felt short as well.

Accurate, well-built and portable
After weeks of use this compact oximeter has delivered dependable SpO2 and pulse readings. The modern design is pocket-friendly and feels solid. I compared it to clinic results and it matched closely. The rechargeable feature is a major convenience for frequent monitoring.

Great design and app, but inconsistent readings
Packaging and the iOS iHealth app are excellent; the device pairs with other iHealth gear nicely. The rubber flap covering the charge port seems fragile and could tear. I followed the manufacturer’s finger placement tips (nail down, pad on sensor, use middle fingers, warm hands) yet the oximeter sometimes fails to register or gives fluctuating results, which undermines confidence in its accuracy.

Ottimo prodotto, buona fattura

Solid, dependable and easy to use
I’ve tested it both standalone and paired to my iPhone; both methods work well. Readings register when you remove your finger, so it’s not for continuous capture but perfect for quick checks. USB charging is simple and Bluetooth syncing is reliable.
