H5074 Smart Bluetooth Thermometer & Hygrometer — Mini Humidity Sensor
Product description
App-based monitoring: The H5074 connects by Bluetooth to a companion mobile app so you can view live temperature and humidity on your phone. It supports an open-air Bluetooth reach up to 262 feet, though actual range will be reduced by walls and obstacles. This version does not use Wi‑Fi.
High-precision sensing: The unit houses a Swiss-made sensor that reports temperature with roughly ±0.54°F accuracy and humidity to about ±3% RH. Readings refresh frequently (every two seconds), providing near real-time tracking in environments that need close control.
On-board and exportable data: The device keeps recent measurements locally for about 20 days, visible as trend graphs in the app. The mobile software also offers an "Export CSV" option so you can save up to two years of historical data to your phone for long-term recordkeeping.
Compact build and installation: The tracker is housed in a small, lightweight plastic case with a hanging hole for mounting or placement in tight spaces such as cabinets, humidors, or fermentation rooms. It runs on an internal battery that is activated by a pull tab and is designed to be unobtrusive when mounted.
Alerts and use cases: Within the app you can set upper and lower thresholds for temperature and humidity; the device will push notifications if conditions move outside those ranges. Typical uses include monitoring rooms, appliances like refrigerators, cigar humidors, pet enclosures, instrument storage, and other climate-sensitive areas.
Pros
- High accuracy from Swiss-made sensor
- Portable, tiny housing with hanging option
- Local logs plus two-year CSV export
Cons
- Bluetooth range limited by walls and obstacles
- Requires the app for full functionality and alerts
- No onboard display; smartphone needed to read values
VerdictA small, accurate Bluetooth hygrometer suited for rooms, cabinets, and hobby spaces where Wi‑Fi isn’t available. It gives frequent readings, local storage, easy app alerts and long-term CSV export. Best for users who want portability and precision; note Bluetooth range and app behavior can limit remote access through walls.

Does the job — reliable monitoring
Performs well. Bluetooth connects through walls for roughly 30+ feet in my house and it maintains an internal log between downloads.

Perfect for keeping a large cigar humidor in check
After several years of use this has been dependable monitoring for my humidor upstairs. It’s simple, steady, and has given me confidence that stored cigars remain at proper humidity.

Great companion for Govee humidifiers
I use it to supply room humidity and temp readings to the app and trigger my humidifier. It stores a few weeks of logs, is tiny and hangs unobtrusively. Battery has lasted months so far; there’s no built-in display.

Good solution for attic monitoring and leak sensors
I placed a couple in the attic and another in a hard-to-cool room. Bluetooth reaches most spots but some require closer proximity. The app also alerts on low battery and pairs well with other sensors I own.

Now part of my everyday carry
Responsive and solid-feeling with a good app and widget options. Can set alarms and recalibrate. Minor downsides: single-device linking, a cover that shows dirt, and no onboard readout.

Handy RV info center with usable iOS widgets
I added this to an old iPad dashboard in my RV because it uses Bluetooth instead of Wi‑Fi. The iOS widgets are the feature that sold me — they show name, time, temp and humidity in different sizes and themes.

Survived my cat's chaos — solid whole-house tracking
I placed several around the house including attic and basement. Setup was quick and I could name each unit. The sensors help keep temp and humidity balanced for my guitars and pets. Bought a second pack after the first worked so well.

Works great in my refrigerator
Installed it in the fridge; the app is easy to use and I could restrict who connects to the sensor. I set a high-temp alarm and it notifies me when the temperature rises past my threshold.

Excellent for tracking fermentation room temps
Bought it to watch temperatures in my fermentation chamber for beers and ciders. Tiny, hangable, and Bluetooth syncs when I need it. Perfect for locations without internet.

Works well for reptile enclosures with minor quirks
I've used nine of these in reptile/amphibian tanks for months. Setup is straightforward via the app. One unit needed the internal battery adjusted to start, which was easy. Readings closely matched my other meters within a few degrees and a few percent RH.

Security concerns over app and data access
Device is easy to use and accurate, but the required app requests location and seems to need internet access to retrieve Bluetooth readings. That behavior raised privacy concerns for me, so I rated it down despite good hardware.
