4-Pack 27-inch Wooden Dressing Sticks — Long-Handle Sock & Shoe Aid
Product description
What’s included: a pack of four 27-inch dressing sticks, each constructed from a combination of solid wood, PVC components, metal fittings and a sponge tip. The sticks arrive as two-piece units that screw together to form the full 27-inch length and can be disassembled for compact storage or transport.
Material and finish: the wooden portion is presented in a burlywood tone and has a smooth outer surface to reduce snagging and keep garments safe. Metal and PVC parts add durability where needed, and a sponge or padded tip is incorporated for gentle contact with clothing and skin.
Use and placement: these sticks are designed to assist with pulling on socks, slipping into shoes, working zippers and other dressing tasks. Because they come in a set of four, you can keep one in the bedroom, one in the bathroom, one in the living area and one in a bag or office so they’re always within reach — helpful for those who forget where they left an aid.
Portability and handling: although built to be sturdy, each stick remains lightweight and easy to manipulate for people with limited strength or flexibility. The two-piece screw connection lets you shorten the stick for travel or storage, making it convenient to take along for appointments or outings.
Who benefits: this dressing aid is particularly useful for older adults and for people recovering from hip, knee or shoulder surgery who need to reduce bending or stretching when dressing. It supports greater independence and can be a useful tool during rehabilitation.
Pros
- Lightweight and easy to maneuver
- Two-piece design for travel and storage
- Four sticks provide backups or placement around the home
Cons
- Hook tip lacks a soft coating and may feel sharp
- Two-piece joint can feel less rigid to some users
- Wood finish could be smoother or more refined
VerdictA practical, lightweight aid that helps users dress independently. The set of four provides backups or placement throughout the home, the two-piece design makes travel simple, and the mixed-material construction balances strength and function for routine tasks like socks, shoes and zippers.

Highly recommended — these held up
I had bought single sticks before and they broke after a short time. I picked up this four-pack and none of these have failed. I’m passing extras on to friends who need them.

Two-piece design works; watch the hook
I was unsure about the two-piece model but they assemble securely and don’t feel flimsy. Good value for multiple sticks. One caveat: the metal hook isn’t rubber-coated and can nick skin.

Each stick is two-piece and screws together
The listing was misleading — these come as four two-piece sticks, so you get eight pieces in total. They screw together into 27-inch lengths.

Helps a lot with socks and shoes after surgery
Works well for taking off socks and the hook helps with putting on shoes. It seems solid, though a nicer finish on the wood would be welcome. An alligator-style clip on the end would make pulling socks up easier. I’ve had multiple back surgeries and a pending hip procedure, so this device really helps with dressing.
