250W Ceramic Heat Emitters — 2-Pack No-Light Reptile Heat Bulbs
Product description
What’s included: Two 250-watt ceramic heat emitters, each with a standard E26 screw base and an adhesive temperature indicator sticker.
Heating performance: These elements are engineered to give off only heat — no visible light — so nocturnal animals aren’t disturbed. They heat up fast (a noticeable rise in about 10 seconds and reaching operating temperature within approximately 3–5 minutes) and are suitable for continuous 24-hour use if needed.
Electrical and size specs: Rated 250W at 110–120V and designed for standard E26 lamp holders. Physical dimensions are approximately 105 mm in diameter and 115 mm in length, compatible with typical reptile and poultry lamp fixtures and porcelain sockets.
Construction and durability: Built from high-purity ceramic for improved crack and moisture resistance, these emitters tolerate the humid conditions of glass terrariums and brooders better than many glass lamps. The adhesive temperature indicator sticker helps show when the emitter is producing heat.
Safety and usage notes: Use only in fixtures rated for this wattage — underspecified hoods may not cope with the output. Keep a safe distance from animals and flammable materials and regularly check the fixture and mounting for wear. Also suitable for chicken brooders and egg incubators as a supplemental heat source.
Lifespan, compatibility and support: The bulbs are advertised with a long service life target and work with common lamp holders. Manufacturer specifications list a 10,000-hour target life, a 6-month warranty and 24/7 online customer support for questions or issues.
Pros
- Emits heat only — no visible light
- High-purity ceramic; moisture and crack resistant
- Quick warm-up and standard E26 compatibility
Cons
- Requires fixtures rated for high wattage
- Some users report early failures
- Warranty limited to six months
VerdictThese high-temperature ceramic emitters deliver intense, no-light heat suitable for terrariums, brooders and incubators. They warm quickly and are made from moisture-resistant ceramic, but they demand a fixture rated for their output and occasional reliability issues have been reported. Good value if fitted correctly and monitored.

Great warmth, no light
Gets hot quickly and provides steady heat without emitting visible light. Exactly what I needed for my nocturnal animals.

Heated my shed reliably
Installed three in a 100 sq ft shed with a 10 ft ceiling and used an auto temp switch set to 35°F. They raised the interior to about 45°F in 15 minutes and held between 35–45°F even when it was 25°F outside.

Safe and effective for chicks
Keeps my chicks warm and feels safer than typical space heaters—compact and efficient.

Nowhere near advertised life
Both units burned out after roughly 360 hours each when run 12 hrs/day. Far short of the 10,000-hour target.

Intense heat — verify your housing
Really puts out heat — hot enough to burn if touched. In my hood it felt like more than the fixture could handle. Make sure your lamp housing supports this wattage for reliable performance.

Mixed results — one died fast
One failed within 24 hours but the spare lasted months. Surface temps under it weren't noticeably higher than my previous 100W lamp, so output distribution may differ.

Poor reliability and packaging
One bulb died after a month of use; the other arrived damaged in the box.
