Victoria Cast-Iron Manual Meat Grinder (Table-Mount) — No. 12
Product description
What’s included
The set ships with three sausage-stuffing tubes (small 12.7 mm, medium 18 mm and large 22 mm), two carbon-steel cutting plates (a fine plate with 3/16" holes and a coarse plate with 1/2" holes), the stainless-steel knife, and the cast-iron body with clamp for table mounting.
Construction and materials
The main housing is made of heavy-duty cast iron with a double-tin plating to help prevent stains and corrosion. Cutting elements are carbon steel and the blade is stainless steel with a self-sharpening profile. The unit is produced in Colombia using European-style casting machinery and finished for long-term use.
How it’s used
Clamp the grinder securely to a sturdy table or board, load chunks of trimmed meat into the feed, and turn the handle to force meat through the blade and selected plate. Swap plates to change grind size and attach a sausage tube for stuffing links. Output is in the range of about 0.5 to 1 pound per minute depending on meat and operator speed. After use, disassemble, clean and dry; tin-plated cast iron benefits from a light coating of oil before storage to protect the surface.
Applications
Designed for burgers, ground beef, pork, poultry, wild game, sausages, meatballs and other minced preparations. The manual design gives full control over cuts and fat ratios so you can grind from scratch with your chosen meats.
Pros
- Sturdy cast-iron build with corrosion-resistant tin finish
- Includes multiple stuffing tubes and two grinding plates
- Self-sharpening stainless knife for steady cutting
Cons
- Some units have reported QA flaws on plastic fittings
- Manual operation is slower than electric grinders
- Requires proper mounting and maintenance (oiling) to prevent rust
VerdictA rugged, traditional hand grinder built from cast iron with a protective tin finish. It arrives with versatile accessories for burgers, sausage and minced meats and offers adjustable plate choices for coarse or fine texture. Best for users who want control over meat quality and appreciate mechanical simplicity; mixed reports note occasional quality-control issues on some units.

Defective and return was frustrating
Item arrived defective. Returning it proved too difficult, so I canceled the return and won’t order this way again.

Cutter does the job
Easy to install and use. Good choice for larger households who grind beef or goat meat regularly.

Difficult to work with
Not practical for me. It takes quite a while to grind a few pieces of meat.

Looks nice but problematic
Bought to grind beef. If the blades are too tight metal flakes can appear; if looser the meat wraps and jams. Needs a lot of pressure and can be unsafe. Works fine with cooked ham though.

Okay but not ideal for all meats
Bought for goats and pigs; struggles with connective tissue and fatty trimmings. Works fine for beef.

In constant use at my shop
I keep it mounted on a commercial block for quick daily use. Easy to clean, sharp blades, handles anything from a few pounds up to big batches.

Solid unit — relieved I bought it
I hesitated because of earlier comments but this grinder looks and feels very solid and not made overseas cheaply. Haven't used it yet but it arrived complete and heavy. I plan to oil it for storage and will test it this weekend.

Arrived damaged repeatedly
Received with a cracked stuffer tube, replacement also had a crack plus a broken plastic adapter. Sent both back and asked for a refund.
