TP‑Link Deco 7 Pro BE63 — Wi‑Fi 7 2‑Pack Whole‑Home Mesh Router
Product description
What’s included: a two‑unit Deco 7 Pro BE10000 mesh kit (main unit and satellite), power adapters, Ethernet patch cables, and a quick start guide. Each node houses multiple smart internal antennas and a compact plastic enclosure designed to sit on a shelf or tabletop.
Wireless and wired features: Tri‑band Wi‑Fi 7 (BE10000) with combined multi‑gig capacity across 6 GHz, 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands; stated peak link rates include multi‑gig throughput on the 6 GHz and 5 GHz bands and standard 2.4 GHz coverage for long‑range devices. There are four 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN ports per device and a USB 3.0 connector for shared storage or peripherals. The system supports simultaneous wired and wireless backhaul; wired backhaul requires at least two Deco units connected by Ethernet.
Coverage and capacity: The two‑pack is rated to blanket large homes — up to roughly 5,800 sq ft in optimal conditions — and handle extensive device counts (hundreds of clients) without a large drop in performance. AI‑driven roaming provides a single SSID and automatic handoff between nodes to reduce interruptions during calls, streaming, or gaming.
Security and services: Built‑in security and parental controls are managed through TP‑Link’s HomeShield service, offering malware protection, device isolation for IoT, and traffic monitoring. The router supports both VPN client and server modes so the network can route device traffic through remote VPNs or accept VPN connections without per‑device software.
Management and compatibility: Setup and ongoing firmware updates are handled through the Deco mobile app, which provides device management, speed tests, and security options. Deco units are backward compatible with older Wi‑Fi generations and designed to work with most ISP setups; note that a separate modem is required for many providers.
Use cases: Ideal for homeowners who want high throughput for 4K/8K streaming, AR/VR and low‑latency gaming, or large smart home deployments. The combination of multi‑gig Ethernet ports and high‑bandwidth Wi‑Fi makes this kit suitable for future upgrades to your internet service.

Solid mesh for gamers; the app is excellent
Overall very impressed. Setup is straightforward, coverage is strong, and the system is feature rich without being complicated. The mobile app is clean and gives you the controls most people need. Device roaming is smooth and connection consistency has been excellent for gaming and streaming.

Easy setup and reliable since day one
Quick to configure, the app is flexible and the mesh spreads signal well. The units are compact and unobtrusive. No problems since installation — a solid investment to boost home Wi‑Fi.

Firmware update turned it into a headache
Worked fine until a firmware push broke stability. I spent hours troubleshooting; factory resets rarely fixed it and problems returned. Documentation and support blamed cables or ISP first. After updates, wired gaming sessions crash and smart devices disconnect. We ended up bypassing the mesh for critical work devices.

Replaced old mesh and solved all issues
Replaced an older mesh and everything improved: stability, speed, and range. Setup via the phone app was the easiest I’ve seen. Performance has been consistently excellent — highly recommended.

Ideal choice for a small home with gigabit service
I had a gigabit plan but the ISP router didn’t deliver full speeds in my 1,400 sq ft home. After swapping to this Deco 2‑pack and using my own modem, speeds increased and wireless stability improved. MLO and beamforming feel stable. The app made installation easy and gives remote monitoring. I wired the satellite to my office dock and it works flawlessly.

Night‑and‑day improvement in speed and range
I switched from an older AX mesh and noticed huge gains. Setup via the app took about 15 minutes. I now get near‑gigabit performance wired and wireless throughout the house — even back rooms that used to fall to ~80 Mbps. The 6 GHz band delivers very low ping for gaming and streaming. Two units cover my 2,500 sq ft house with reliable handoffs and zero dropouts. The 2.5G ports feel like good future‑proofing.

Nearly perfect — two small annoyances
Wi‑Fi 7 performance is excellent — 600–960 Mbps range on my gig line compared with ~300–500 before. Small, compact units and easy app setup. Two gripes: the status LED is on the bottom so you can’t easily see it, and the browser interface lacks many settings that are only available in the app, which complicates static IPs and port forwarding.

Works but I don’t see Wi‑Fi 7 on my phone
Router operates fine, but my Android phone only reports Wi‑Fi 6E or Wi‑Fi 6 — never shows Wi‑Fi 7. Everything else appears normal, though.

Strong hardware and helpful support
Attractive design, easy setup, and solid range. I use a two‑node setup over MoCA 2.5Gb and while my current internet is only 300 Mbps, the kit future‑proofs well. I appreciate the 2.5G ports. The app is useful but could show link speeds and offer a toggle for remote management. Support was responsive and pleasant.

Easy to install and covers a lot of space
Simple installation. You can create 2.4/5 GHz, a 6 GHz band, and combined MLO networks, plus a guest network and IoT isolation. Two nodes covered ~200 m² and penetrate walls well — no more device availability issues.
