Createx Airbrush Cleaner (8 oz) — Water-Based Airbrush Cleaner
Product description
This product is sold as an 8-ounce bottle of water-based airbrush cleaner intended for routine cleaning and thinning tasks.
Use it as a quick rinse between colors while painting to keep your airbrush flowing. When used with Createx Airbrush Colors it also functions as an effective reducer/thinner to adjust viscosity for spraying. For removal of fully dried paint you should use Createx 4008 Restorer instead.
This cleaner is not recommended for rinsing when 4030 Intercoat has been mixed into Createx paints; in those situations use 4012 High Performance Reducer as the rinse. The label and technical notes point out that 4012 is the safer option with Intercoat-enhanced mixes.
Createx Airbrush Cleaner is water-based and non-toxic, and it is manufactured in the U.S.A. It’s formulated to work with Createx product lines — Airbrush Colors, Wicked Colors, Auto Air Colors, Illustration Colors — and is also compatible with many other water-based paints.
Pros
- Water-based and non-toxic
- Can be used as a reducer/thinner
- Works with Createx paint lines
Cons
- Not suitable with 4030 Intercoat mixes
- Less effective on some non-Createx paints
- Strong cleaning odor
VerdictThis 8 oz Createx airbrush cleaner provides a reliable water-based rinse for quick color changes and can also serve as a reducer for Createx airbrush paints. It handles routine cleanup well and is safe to use on the Createx product family and many other water-based formulas. Avoid using it when 4030 Intercoat is present — switch to 4012 High Performance Reducer for those mixes — and use Createx 40

Great with Createx, not universal
Performs perfectly with Createx Colors, less effective on other brands. Strong, familiar scent. Worth it if you use Createx.
