Sleep
Magnesium Lotion for Sleep & Muscle Relief — Concentrated, Non-Greasy
Product description
Included: one container of highly concentrated topical magnesium lotion intended for external use. The formula is delivered in a squeezable bottle and intended to be applied to trouble spots rather than used as an all-over body cream.
Ingredients and feel: The lotion combines concentrated magnesium with skin-loving emollients and botanicals — Aloe Vera, Grapeseed Oil, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Avocado Butter, Mango Butter and Vitamin E — and is finished with a subtle lavender fragrance. The texture is fairly thick and richly moisturizing yet formulated to absorb without leaving an oily residue.
How to use: Apply a small amount to the areas you want to treat (for example calves, feet, lower back, knees or joints). Because it’s concentrated, a pea-sized dab on the targeted spot is usually sufficient; more isn’t necessarily better. It is designed to promote relaxation before bed and to ease muscle tension and joint discomfort.
Performance notes: Many users report improved ability to fall and stay asleep and reduced nighttime leg or muscle restlessness. The lotion soaks in relatively quickly while providing lasting hydration. Due to the dense consistency, some find the bottle harder to squeeze as it empties; using a little at a time or transferring to a jar can make the remaining product easier to access.
Cautions: For topical use only. Avoid mucous membranes and broken skin. Patch-test if you have sensitive skin or are fragrance-sensitive.
Pros
- Promotes relaxation and can support better sleep
- Nourishing blend of butters and oils for hydration
- Concentrated, non-greasy formula that absorbs quickly
Cons
- Thick texture can be hard to extract from the bottle
- Not intended as a full-body daily moisturizer
- Lavender scent may not suit everyone
VerdictThis concentrated magnesium lotion is effective at calming tense muscles and supporting better nighttime rest while also moisturizing skin. Its rich blend of butters and oils leaves skin smooth without a greasy finish and the lavender scent aids relaxation. The thick, concentrated texture means a little goes a long way, but the squeezable bottle can make it tricky to access the final amount. Recom

Worked for me — results may vary
A friend suggested this and I did notice better sleep with fewer wake-ups. Individual results will differ, but it helped me.

Really effective for nighttime relaxation
This is the best magnesium lotion I’ve used. It’s concentrated but gentle on skin and reliably calms my nighttime muscle restlessness so I fall asleep much easier. Highly recommend.

Does what it promises for sore areas
This actually helps — calms my back and knee when I put it on before bed. Simple and effective.

Great for legs but bottle access is annoying
Helpful for easing leg tension, but the packaging makes getting the lotion out frustrating. A jar would be easier to scoop from; pumps clog and some brands use them, but they have their own problems.

Bottle design wastes product despite good performance
Lotion works well for restless legs and sleep, but the bottle is awful. Once you squeeze it, it stays collapsed and it becomes harder to get product out as it empties. I’ve unscrewed the cap, banged it into my palm, and tried scraping the inside but still leave a lot behind. I think I’ve wasted nearly a whole bottle that way.

Noticeable help with sleep and restlessness
I tried this because I wanted a non-medication option for sleep issues. The lotion actually helps me fall asleep and stay asleep longer; even brief wake-ups are easier to get back to sleep from. Lavender is pleasant, the texture feels light and not greasy, and it absorbs fairly quickly. My only fault is my own — I haven’t consistently gone to bed earlier to fully test it every night.

Pairing with their magnesium oil amplified results
I use this alongside the brand’s magnesium oil and noticed big improvements. Apply both to the most absorbent areas near the problem site for fastest effect (fastest to slowest absorption: scrotal > forehead > armpit ≥ scalp > back = abdomen > palm = underside of foot). The lotion is thick and spreadable so a pea-sized amount on the target area is enough — don’t waste it on full-body use.
