Legends Trotter 7.5" Tan Hoof Cleaning Brush
Product description
This product is a single hoof-cleaning brush finished in a tan color and measuring 7.5 inches overall. The brush pairs a shaped wooden handle with natural fiber bristles that are cut to a medium-firm stiffness suitable for clearing mud, bedding and small stones from the hoof well.
No additional attachments or tools are included; what you receive is one 7.5" wooden-handled brush with a block head densely packed with natural bristles. The handle is contoured to fit the hand for comfortable, repeated use while working around the foot.
To use, hold the handle firmly and sweep the bristles along the sole, frog and crevices of the hoof to dislodge soft mud and debris. For dried or packed mud, running the flat wooden edge along the hoof first helps loosen material before brushing. The brush is intended for routine cleaning and general hoof maintenance rather than heavy-duty scraping of rock-hard concretions.

Still performing after a year and a half
I bought this when my gelding began wearing glue-on composite shoes. After 18 months it’s still doing a great job cleaning his front feet. Bristle firmness is just right and the handle feels comfortable in the hand.

Exceeded expectations
This brush did better than I anticipated. It’s helped with regular hoof care and feels well made. I’ll buy it again if the current one wears out.

Handy for brushing mud off boots and gear
I picked this up after hearing a hiker mention using a hoof brush to clean boots. The wooden construction felt sturdier than plastic options and it’s worked really well removing mud from my hiking boots — wish I had one sooner.

Sturdy, comfortable brush
Sturdy brush with bristles that aren’t too coarse yet strong enough to clear mud and debris. Easy to grip and comfortable to use during routine cleaning.

Some bristles fell out initially
Most reviews were positive, but a chunk of bristles came loose on my first use, which was disappointing. Only that one spot has come out so far; I still use it frequently in muddy conditions and hope it holds up.

Better than combo pick-and-brush tools
I prefer a separate, old-school brush rather than the tiny bristle on a hoof pick. The wide wooden edge helps scrape stubborn mud, then the bristles get into the hoof well. It’s durable under frequent use and handy during trims.
