Product description
This listing is for pleated replacement air filters intended for air conditioners, furnaces and central HVAC systems in standard residential applications. Sold as a 4-pack, each unit is labeled nominally 16x25x1 with an actual measurement of 15 11/16" x 24 11/16" x 3/4" and is comparable to MPR 600 and FPR 5 ratings.
The filter media is 100% synthetic and electrostatically charged to increase particle capture while keeping resistance to airflow low. The pleated design enlarges the filter surface area for extended service life and consistent performance between changes.
These filters are manufactured in the United States by BNX Converting, LLC in Houston, TX (EPA Registration #101638-TX-1). The frame uses a single-sided, one-piece construction to reduce waste and is made from recycled cardboard for a more sustainable packaging and product footprint.
With a MERV 8 classification, the filters are engineered to remove a high percentage of small airborne particles without overly restricting system airflow. Switched from too-high MERV to these
I learned that very high MERVs can restrict airflow, so I changed from a MERV 13 to these MERV 8s. Since switching, the system runs less often and seems more efficient during hot weather.

Perfect balance for allergy sufferers

Does the job with a small snag
Filters perform well and cost less than some alternatives. One box had an uneven seam on the cardboard that snagged briefly during installation.

No more crushed frames in shipping
These arrive in better condition than most filters I've bought. The manufacturer seems to pack them so the paperboard perimeter doesn't get bent during transit, which prevents gaps and short-circuiting around the filter. The frame feels considerably sturdier than flimsy alternatives.
