SKIN1004 Azelaic Acid 10% Ampoule — Centella Facial Serum (1.01 fl oz)
Product description
Targeted sebum control and blemish support: This ampoule is designed for oily and acne-prone complexions to help reduce excess surface oil and improve the look of skin texture. The formulation emphasizes a balanced, less congested complexion rather than harsh drying.
Triple-derivative azelaic system: The serum combines 10% azelaic acid (encapsulated), 1% potassium azeloyl diglycinate, and 0.5% Azelamide MEA to tackle oil, pore-clogging debris, and uneven texture. Additional soothing and hydrating components include Centella asiatica extract and sodium hyaluronate to help maintain moisture while addressing blemishes.
Texture and presentation: The product is a thin, watery ampoule that sinks in quickly without leaving a heavy or greasy residue. It comes as a single 1.01 fl. oz (approximately 30 ml) ampoule bottle intended for daily spot or full-face use. The formula is free of niacinamide for those who avoid that ingredient.
How to use: Dispense 2–3 drops and smooth evenly over clean skin, then gently pat until absorbed. For targeted treatment, a second thin layer can be applied to trouble spots. Follow with a soothing moisturizer. During daytime use, finish with sunscreen as the last step.
Cautions and starter routine: Patch-test prior to regular use. Begin alternate-day application to assess tolerance, then increase frequency as skin permits. If irritation occurs, reduce use or discontinue and consult a professional. Keep out of eyes and avoid use on broken skin.
Pros
- Light, fast-absorbing watery texture
- Triple azelaic derivatives for multi-targeted action
- No niacinamide — suitable for those who avoid it
Cons
- May trigger rosacea or strong sensitivity in some users
- Small 1.01 fl. oz bottle can run out quickly
- Very liquid consistency can be tricky to apply
VerdictA modern, easy-to-layer ampoule that delivers a focused azelaic treatment without heavy texture or overt stinging. The triple-derivative approach addresses oiliness, clogged pores, and uneven tone while Centella and humectants support comfort. Works well for many with oily or reactive skin, but test first if you have rosacea or a history of strong sensitivities.

Nice, absorbent consistency
I like the texture—very light and my skin soaks it up nicely.

Cleared my painful breakouts
Loved it—my painful acne calmed down and I went from constant flare-ups to none. I can wear lightweight makeup without immediate breakouts. Wish the bottle were larger; I finished it in under 30 days even using small amounts. Good for first-time users.

Surprisingly gentle and hydrating
Really lightweight and non-irritating—surprising for me since many actives sting. It leaves a slightly tacky finish that seems to lock in moisture. My acne and dark spots improved a lot. I’d repurchase. I placed it next to a mini Cetaphil to show the size.

Effective on persistent dark spots
It reduced dark marks I’d been battling for months; after a few weeks of daily use I noticed fading and smoother texture.

Caused a rosacea flare for me
It smelled and looked great, but after the first use my face felt warm and flushed; after another application my cheeks developed large red patches, papules and pustules, plus forehead acne. My skin reacted badly to this one.

Well-formulated encapsulated azelaic ampoule
This product uses 10% encapsulated azelaic acid plus 1% potassium azeloyl diglycinate and 0.5% Azelamide MEA for a sophisticated multi-derivative approach. It layers easily, feels non-irritating, and includes panthenol, allantoin, beta-glucan, Centella, licorice, and sodium hyaluronate for a comfortable, hydrating finish.

Too watery to manage
I’m testing it but don’t like the texture — it’s literally like water and slips off your hands or face, making application difficult.

Not suitable for rosacea sufferers
I don’t recommend this for rosacea. One drop left me red for days. Still, the brand’s other items work wonders for me. I only use retinol on my forehead and have most of their lineup.

An azelaic product I can actually use
Previous azelaic items left my face red and burning. I chose this one because it doesn’t include niacinamide, and it’s been gentle and hydrating without feeling heavy. A little goes far; I use it in the morning before moisturizer and saw smoother, more hydrated skin within weeks.
